December 2025

Dec 15, 2025

Welcome to the very first edition of Thrive Tribe!

We’re thrilled to launch this monthly newsletter created exclusively for our client community. It's a space designed to keep you informed, encouraged, and equipped as you lead your organizations. Each month, we’ll share important updates, timely insights, practical tools, and stories of impact from our community.

Our hope is that Thrive Tribe provides community connection and encouragement as you steward the missions entrusted to you. We believe when leaders thrive, communities flourish. Thank you for allowing us to walk alongside you.

As we begin 2026 we are excited to introduce you to a new team member, Sara Steffan.  She will be joining us in January.

Here’s to learning, growing, and thriving together.

Terisa Clark and the Thrive Team

Sara is a seasoned financial executive and trusted advisor for nonprofit organizations, specializing in aligning fiscal strategy with mission-driven impact.  With over 20 years of experience, she uses her expertise in strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting along with her strong communication skills to translate complex financial data into actionable insights that foster informed, data-driven decision-making for leadership teams and boards.  She is passionate about empowering nonprofits to achieve their vital missions through sound financial stewardship and transparent reporting.

Beyond traditional financial roles, Sara brings invaluable firsthand governance experience, having served on the board of two distinct nonprofits.  This includes a foundational role as a board member for a startup organization where she helped establish initial financial systems and secure early-stage funding, as well as a tenure on the board of another human services organization.  This unique perspective ensures financial strategies are practical, compliant, and supportive of board-level objectives.

Whether in the boardroom or serving in her local church and community, Sara leads with heart and integrity to drive sustainable growth and ensure every organization she touches can thrive financially and missionally.

One of the best parts of Thrive is the people, both the clients we serve and the team we get to serve alongside. Sara captured it so well in her words below, and we’re grateful for her and the way she shows up for our clients and our team. "Working as a fractional CFO for Thrive Nonprofit feels less like a contract and more like a calling. It is rare to find a leadership team that doesn't...

Strategic decisions rarely live in one lane. Staffing affects programming; programming affects capacity; capacity affects funding; and growth affects everything. That is why we walk alongside leaders as they evaluate options, pressure-test assumptions, and make decisions with clarity and confidence. Whether you are considering a key hire, expanding a program, launching a capital campaign, ...
